Margaret Sample Riley

Margaret Sample Riley formerly of Hot Springs passed away August 22 in Lexington, Ky. She was born December 1, 1956 in Batesville, Ark., daughter of Coy and Vivian Sample. She was predeceased in death by her mother, Vivian Keith Sample and her niece, Shannon Sample. She is survived by her father, W. Coy Sample; her husband, Wil Freebody of Lexington, Ky.; two sons, Isaac Riley of Lexington and Christopher Riley, of Pikeville, Ky.; three grandchildren, Colby Riley, Emilyn Riley and Vivian Harper Riley; two brothers, Billy Coy Sample and Jimmy Sample; two nephews, Shawn Sample and Jude Sample, and a niece, Kirsten Sample. Margaret was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church, and was a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and held a Master's Degree in social work from Morehead State University, in Morehead, Ky. She was on the staff of Bluegrass.org in Lexington, Ky. Margaret was graceful, strong, and beautiful and left an indelible impression on all who knew her. Services will be held at Park Place Baptist Church, Friday, September 2, at 11 a.m. with her father, Rev W. Coy Sample officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at Park Place.
