Patricia Ann Collins, age 76, of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, Dec. 2, 2016. She was born Oct. 9, 1940, in Lockesburg, Ark., to Vertice and Gladys Pool Cannon. She married her loving husband, Bill Collins, in Pecos, Texas, in 1961, and they recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. Pat and Bill raised their three daughters in De Queen, Ark., until moving to Saudi Arabia in 1984. After their retirement in 1992, they made their way back to Northwest Arkansas in order to be closer to their family. Pat is lovingly known to her family as "Meemers." She loved having their entire family gather at their farm in Springdale for holidays and reunions. Pat insisted on passing down all of her southern traditions to her daughters. She was an active member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fayetteville where she served on various committees. She will always be remembered as the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristi Johnson; one sister, Dorothy White; and two brothers, Joe and E.K. Cannon. Pat is survived by her husband, Bill; two daughters, Beth Collins-Neff and husband Terry of Neosho, Mo., and Julie Randolph and husband Chase of Fayetteville; one sister, Helen Robbins of Dierks, Ark.; one brother, Lewis Cannon of Texarkana; seven grandchildren, Tyler and Dexter Hutchison, Abby Randolph, Christian and Courtney Neff, Jordon Johnson, and Jaimisen Harris; one great-grandchild, Sophia Hutchison; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Rolling Hills Baptist Church located at 1400 E Rolling Hills Drive, Fayetteville, Ark. 72703. As per her wishes, Pat will be cremated and inurned beside her daughter Kristi immediately following the service at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
