William "Bill" Watson, 82, of North Little Rock, died on Wednesday, December 14, 2016. He was born May 8, 1934 in Urich, Missouri to Flavous and Ida Faye Chesney Watson. Bill joined the Navy at age 17 and was a Personnelman aboard the USS Rainier and was stationed in Guam for 18 months during the Korean War. He was a retired insurance executive and owner of Frank Watson Agency of Dumas, Ark. and later retired from his second career as a restaurant owner of Daddy's Deli in Little Rock. His lifelong hobby was to write and his first "novel" was written when he was 8 years old. He authored many short stories and one full length novel. He passed away peacefully at home, cared for lovingly by his wife and son. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Elaine Watson. Bill is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marie Adams Watson; son, Stewart Watson; sisters, Jo Ann Taylor of North Little Rock and Linda Grossman of Maumelle; granddaughters, Hanna Mai and Caroline Garner of Dallas; great-granddaughter, Camille Mai of Dallas; nephews, Rob Mabry of Phoenix and Kevin Holt of West Memphis; and nieces, Diane Wolfe of Little Rock, Gail Cockrell of Monticello and Andrea Jackson of West Memphis. He is also leaving behind many grand-nieces and nephews; a loving son-in-law, Tom Garner and his wife, Dana Garner of Dallas; and his wife's cherished six sisters, two brothers and their families. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at Little Rock West Assembly of God, 16403 Lamarche Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas with the Rev. Bob Spencer and Rev.
