Melba Rogers Soule, 96, died on Dec. 7, 2016 in Ft Worth, Texas, born in Fayetteville, she attended the Univ. of Arkansas where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and a Razorback Beauty. She was Music Supervisor at the Arkansas State Vocational H.S. and taught voice, elocution and piano. She married Charles T. Soule in 1942 during W.W.II and in 1954 moved to Tulsa, Okla., where she worked with Charlie in the Soule Oil Company, Inc. She was later a Broker Associate for Merrill Lynch Realty Co and they were founders and choir members of Asbury Methodist Church. She served on the board of Tulsa Opera Guild, Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Ass. And Southern Belles Garden Club. She served as a member of the District Metropolitan Opera Auditions Committee. Moving to Bella Vista, Ark., in 1984 She was member of First UMC of Bella Vista singing in the Chancel Choir and Praise Singers and the Bella Vista Womens Chorus and the Andante Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, four brothers, one sister, and one grandchild, Laura Paulding Belt. She is survived by her daughters, Kitty Paulding and Carol Bell, two grandchildren, Ryan Paulding and Melanie Bell, 10 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. A Memorial Service will be held at St Francis Village Protestant Fellowship, 281 St. Clare Dr., Crowley, Texas, on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Dallas-Ft Worth Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis Village Protestant Fellowship or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
