Adell Sutterfield Rodgers, our sweet mom, sister, mentor, and friend passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 22, 2016, at her home in Greenbrier, Ark. She walked through this life with grace and dignity, loving every minute of it and passing that zest for life on to the family she leaves behind. Adell was born April 9, 1936, in Moro, Ark., to the late William Ray and Lillian Huling. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bascum Sutterfield, husband Gordon Marshall Rodgers, sister Margaret Sutterfield, and brother Sylvester Huling. She is survived by: sons Dirk (Beverly) Sutterfield, Lyle (Iva McDaniel) Sutterfield; brothers Carl (Hazel) Huling, Abraham (Mary) Huling, Larry (Grace) Huling; sister Joyce (Ray) Roberts; grandchildren Adam (Andrea) Sutterfield, Amanda (Adam) Cadorette, Sarah (Nathan) Huggins, Sheena Sutterfield; great-grandchildren Jacob Huggins, Spencer Sutterfield, Nicole Huggins, Karlee Sutterfield, Jordan Cadorette, Evan Cadorette, and Nathaniel Sliffe. To know Adell was to know a kind and gentle spirit that spoke softly and loved the Lord her God with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. Love for her family came next and she spent as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren who lovingly called her ‘Grammer'. Special thanks to the staff at Seeds of Love who cared for our mom like family and her caregivers from Gentiva Hospice. A Memorial Service will be held at New Life Church, 114 S. Broadview Greenbrier, Ark., on Tuesday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. with family visitation at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Online guestbook can be found at www.rollerfunerhomes.com/conway.
