Deon Benton Carter

Deon Benton Carter was born May 14, 1924 and died Dec. 19, 2016. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Mable Benton; incredible caregiver and niece Ima Rainwater and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Britt and Maggie Benton; son, Patrick Carter; brother, Merl Benton; sisters, Wallis Vickers and Loy Graham. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Courtyard Gardens. Family and friends will gather for burial at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at Mt. Olive Cemetery near Floyd.
