Thorpe Smith Hamilton Jr.

Thorpe Smith Hamilton Jr. was born Nov. 9, 1936 in Memphis, Tenn., and passed away Dec. 23, 2016 in Clarksville, Ark., at the age of 80. He was retired from the Arkansas Department of Emergency Services, a Veteran of the Air Force Reserve, a graduate of College of the Ozarks, a Mason, and a member of the Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thorpe Smith Hamilton Sr. and Mary Ethel Jeffries Hamilton; and a son, Thorpe Smith Hamilton III. He is survived by his wife, Connie Ford Hamilton of Clarksville; a daughter, Savannah Taylor and husband, Paul, of Clarksville; and two grandchildren: Maggie Taylor of Little Rock, Ark., and Keaton Hamilton of Clarksville. Visitation will be open to the public Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to the charity of your choice.
