Harrison L. Hawley, 85, died Dec. 22, 2016. He was born on April 2, 1931 in Belcher, Ark. (White County), to Stella and John Arthur Hawley. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nina Ellis Hawley; daughters, Donna Hawley Glover (Robert Mark Glover) of Memphis and Rhonda Hawley of Fayetteville; grandson, Robert Zachary Glover; and brother, Stine Hawley (Imogene). He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ethyl Cox and Edna Kilpatrick; and his brothers, Ralph, James, Monroe and Kenneth. Harrison was retired from the Missouri-Pacific Railroad and Rock Island Railroad. He was a member of South Highland Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be remembered for the kindness that he always extended to others. He was often described as "the nicest person one could ever know." Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 with visitation at noon prior to the service at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org) or to the Frank and Barbara Broyles Foundation (broylesfoundation.com).
