Alma Jewell Holland

Alma Jewell Holland, 96, of Jonesboro, On December 23, 2016, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Alma Jewell Holland, passed away. Our Lord Jesus Christ has carried her to her eternal place by his side in the kingdom of Heaven. She was born on March 30, 1920, in Damascus, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Claudie Osco Holland, and her sisters Elsie Alexander, Willie Ward, Letha Young-Wallace, and Rene Simmons. She is survived by her sons, Gary and Jerry Holland (Debbie); grandchildren, Amanda Braswell, Daniel Holland, and Bryce Holland; great-grandchildren Audrey Holland, Emma Braswell, and Ryben Braswell, and a host of other friends and family. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Craighead Nursing Home in Jonesboro for the love and care they bestowed upon our dearest Jewell, and another special thanks to Jackie Morgan for her help over the past two years. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
