Mary Horton

Mary M. Horton, 86, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Craighead Nursing Center. She was survived by two daughters and their husbands, Lynda and Don Anderson of Little Rock and Janet and Michael Chronister of Paragould; a son, Jeff and Lisa Horton of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Joan French of Rector; three brothers, Jim McCord of Kennett, Mo., John McCord of Dewitt and Jack McCord of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Rachel Lawing, John Horton, Neal Chronister and Katya Chronister; two great-granddaughters, Reagan Lawing and Ryleigh Lawing; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Horton. A celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Venable officiating and eulogy by Arliss Dickerson. Interment will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector under the direction of Gregg-Langford Bookout Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
