Louise Siems Koen

Louise Helen Siems Koen, 94, passed away December 29, 2016, at her home. She was born January 22, 1922 in Bayou Meto to Chris and Lillian Collard Siems. Louise was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in DeWitt and retired from DeWitt Bank & Trust after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Koen Sr.; and siblings Florence Hagler, Mildred Capps, Herman Siems, and Clara Jacobs. Louise is survived by her three children Judy Long and husband Thomas of Gillett, Chris Koen and wife Zada of DeWitt, and Bill Koen, Jr. of DeWitt; three grandchildren, Brad Koen, Clint Koen, and John Neukam; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. December 31 at St. Luke Lutheran Church. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home.
