Milford Norman "Ike" Osborne, 85, of Texarkana, Ark. died February 1, 2016. He was born March 20, 1930 in Ottowa County, Oklahoma to James and Ethyl Osborne. He devoted his life to God, family, business, friends, and helping others. He graduated from Wyndotte High School in 1948 and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Mr. Osborne was a serial entrepreneur and built successful businesses in various industries, including; construction, oil and gas, timber, real estate, and medical. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, sports, welding, and just about any activity that could be engaged in with friends or family. He was an adventurer, whether fishing the Amazon, hunting Canadian bear or working on some invention that he believed had the potential to change the world. Mr. Osborne was a Christian; his life was a testimony of the good news of God's forgiveness and love for humanity. Mr. Osborne was a patriot and served in Korea. He was concerned and engaged in his local community as well as Arkansas and national politics, always believing the USA was truly the ‘land of opportunity'. Mr. Osborne was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Ben, Fred, and Earl Osborne and two sisters, Iva Simpson, and Margie Bruton. He is survived by his wife, Edith Morrow Osborne of Texarkana, Ark., daughter, Gwen Osborne and husband Harvey Woods, daughter, Brenda Osborne, son, David Osborne and wife Vanessa, daughter, Sheila Wagnon and husband Richard, and daughter, Anna Walthall and husband Terry, all of Texarkana as well as 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In lieu of funeral services a celebration of Mr. Osborne's life will be Saturday, Feb 6 at 2:30 p.m. at the Omega Building, 216 Olive St, Texarkana, Ark. The family invites friends to join them in remembering and honoring Mr. Osborne, the husband, father, and grandfather they so dearly loved. Memorials may be made to Concerned Women of America.
