Bertha Cruce Bolin, 78, of Fountain Hill, went to meet her heavenly Father, Thursday, February 18, 2016. Mrs. Bolin was a native of Drew County and a resident of Fountain Hill for the past 50 years. She graduated from Drew Central High School in 1955. She worked as a food service director in the Fountain Hill School for 32 years. She took pride in her job and truly loved the children. Her faith was another thing she took great pride in and she was a member of the Eden Baptist Church. She loved her husband with all of her being and never stopped loving him until she took her last earthly breath. Her unconditional love for her husband was a testament to her children and grandchildren. She loved being a Nana and it was something she took great pride in. Some of her greatest joys were her trips to Branson and the opportunity to shop. She is preceded in death by her husband, N.M. (Nem) Bolin in 2002; her parents, Jay & Rita Bowden Cruce; a sister, Letha Howell and two brothers, Buster and Durwood Cruce. She is survived by four children, Mignon Griffin and husband, Oliver of Hamburg, Jayne Taylor and husband, David, of Monticello, Steve Bolin and wife, Rosa of Blue Mountain, Mississippi and Kristi Stocker of Crossett; a sister, Helen Burnett of Monticello; nine9 grandchildren, Blake Griffin, Lance Griffin and wife, Michelle, Janell Harris and husband, Josh, Leslie Taylor, Naiz Bolin, Jana Williams and husband, Shelby, Stevi Bolin, Lacey Burnette and husband, Johnny, and Landon Roberts; six great-grandchildren, Katie, Cole, Kane, Kelsi, Landri Belle and Austin and four special sisters-in-law, Charlotte Johnson and husband, Larry, Norma Allison, Brenda Bolin and Sara Cruce. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Eden Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Hicks and Bro. J.W. Dobbins officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery. Pallbearers are Andy Riels, Burl Mills, Brent Johnson, Darren Johnson, Paul Allison, Doug Hudson, Jerry Cruce and Junior Cruce. Honorary pallbearers are John Allen Cruce, Scott Strickland, Bryan Bolin, Charles Bolin, Mike Allison, Jimmy Chalk and Jim Hudson. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Spinal Cord Commission, 1501 N. University, Suite 470, Little Rock, Ark. 72207.
