Dorothy L Harmon

Dorothy Lee Harmon 83, of Bee Branch, Ark. passed away Thursday Feb. 18, 2016. She was born in England, Ark., on Feb. 27, 1932 to Bill and Lena ( Yarbour) McWhorter. Dorothy married Louis J. Harmon of Little Rock, Ark., on April 8, 1950, in Little Rock. They made their home in Little Rock, raised two boys and one girl. Dorothy was a devoted mother, wife, and friend, an avid gardener and devout Christian. Louis and Dorothy retired to Bee Branch, Ark., in 1995. Dorothy was preceded in death by sisters, Euna and Ruth and brother Don. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis Harmon, son Robert Harmon and his wife Joy of South Africa, son Larry Harmon and his wife Stacy of Bee Branch, Ark., daughter Debbie Murfin and husband Joe of Rogers, Ark., six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers Gene, A.J., and Cecil McWhorter, and sisters Ozella Elrod, Leota Owens and Katherine Sullivan, and many nephews and nieces. Services were held by Reverend Michael L. Powers, Saturday, February 20 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton, Ark. Interment was at Bee Branch Cemetery, Bee Branch, Ark.
