Jennie Ann Jones

Jennie Ann Jones, age 86, of Hattieville, Ark., passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016. She was born March 23, 1929 in Morrilton, Ark., a daughter of Taylor Bennett and Stella Nunn Bennett. She was the widow of Cecil Jones after 51 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and member of Hattieville Missionary Baptist Church. Jennie loved her church, reading, fishing, making cakes, flowers and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Other than her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Jones; a grandson, Joshua Jones; and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Zimmerman. Survivors include two daughters, Paulette (Will) Baker of Hattieville and Cathy (Michael) Brashear of Castalian Springs, Tenn.; one son, Cecil Allen Jones of Hattieville; grandchildren: Jeffery and Angie Zimmerman, Greg and Amanda Baker, Jeffrey and Terri Jones, Jamie and Rebekah Jones, Benjamin and Gerri Brashear, Brad and Morgan Worley, and Cade and Carson Brashear; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Keelie, Abbigail, Peyton, Kennedy, Kirstin, Issac, Madelyn, Eva, Julian, and Olivia. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Hattieville Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Kenneth Strickland and Bro. Johnnie Hoffman officiating. Burial will be at Old Hickory Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 29 at the funeral home.
