Woodrow Wilson "Woody" Walters Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 31, 1940 at Hot Springs, the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Rena Mae Hunt Walters. He worked for Coleman Dairy as a "milk man" for 14 years, and after retirement, he went to work for Reynolds Metals for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing softball and coaching baseball. Woody had a kind, generous spirit, and was always willing to do anything he could to help his family and friends. Woody died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 75. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Terri Carmon Walters, and a great grandson, Mason Allen Walters. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Helen Kitchens Walters of Sheridan; sons, Steve and wife Ellen Walters and Mark Walters and fiancé Ginger, all of Sheridan; daughter, Lisa and husband Ricky Pevey of Lead Hill; sisters, Sharon and husband Lon Sheridan of Rogers, Mary Fran and husband Ronnie Burroughs of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Heather (Franklin) Swain, Joshua (Stormi) Walters, Brandi Jones, (Shane Blasingame), Deven Woodrow (Bri) Walters, Whitney Ann Walters, Reece Walters, Dylan Hunter; great grandchildren, Brayden, Brycen, Aubrey B., Abel, Ceryniti, Aubri W., Gage, and Remington on the way. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Rev. George Swain officiating. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hot Springs. Visitation will be Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be the men who he was closest to in life, Steve Walters, Mark Walters, Joshua Walters, Devon Walters, Farrel Hopson and Franklin Swain.
