Harvey Gurtman Black

Harvey Gurtman Black Jr., age 93, of Lake Village, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at his home in Lake Village. He was born March 23, 1923 in Boydell, Arkansas to the late, Harvey Gurtman Black Sr. and Fannie Lagrone Black. Mr. Black was a retired farmer and an avid hunter. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Saleema Mansour Black, three brothers, Freddie Black, Ray Black, and David Black; two sisters, Lois Adamson, and Patsy Wilson. Survivors are two sons, Saleem Mansour Black of Lake Village, and Frederick Gerald Black and wife, Elizabeth of Lake Village; three grandchildren, Laura Lea Witt and husband, Justin Witt, Frederick Gerald Black, Jr., and Carolyn Saleema Black; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services are 10am Saturday, July 9, 2016 at St. Isadore Cemetery in Lake Village, Arkansas with Father Theophilus Okpara officiating services.
