Wanda (Holt) Tidwell, 81, of McRae, Arkansas, was born December 4, 1934 at McRae, to Shirl and Opal (Bowman) Holt, and passed away July 9, 2016. Growing up, Wanda began cooking by age eight for her family and had perfected her talent of cooking. She graduated from McRae High School in 1952. She was a dedicated hardworking wife, mother and friend. She honestly embodied the attributes of the Proverbs 31 woman and exemplified the fruits of spirit. For 40 years, Wanda was the church organist at First Baptist Church in McRae where she was a member. Through her battle with illness, she trusted Christ's plan and shared His love with all. Wanda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Neil Tidwell; sons, Tony (Tammi) Tidwell of Siloam Springs and Danny (Joyce) Tidwell of Beebe; daughter, Shari (Bobby) Rogers of McRae; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, siblings, Donnell Rogers, Bill Holt and Anna Mae Holt. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 701 E. Second St., McRae, Ark. 72102. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
