Beverly Lynn Cater

Beverly Lynn Cater, age 39, of Dermott, Ark. and her son, Dustin Lane Jones, age 15, of Casa, Ark., passed away Friday, July 15, 2016 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Beverly was born June 17, 1977 in Monticello, Ark. to Phyllis Ann King Cater and the late Ernest Cater. Dustin was born Oct. 23, 2000 in McGehee, Ark. to Ronnie Wayne Jones and Beverly Lynn Cater. Beverly was a sales clerk and a member of Old Union Southern Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Cater. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Clara Collins of Gould and Brookelynn Cupples of Dermott; two sons, Dustin Lane Jones of Casa and Gage Cupples of Dermott; her mother, Phyllis Cater of Monticello; one brother, Dean Cater of Dermott; her fiancé, Steven Sandlin of Dermott; and her step-father, Rodney Jones, Dermott. Dustin was a 10th grade student at Dardanelle High School where he served as Drum Major for the Sandlizard Marching Band. He was an active member of Centerville Assembly of God Church. He was a member of FBLA, East Lab, volunteered at Dardanelle Nursing Center, and wrote for Dardanelle School and Dardanelle City newspapers. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ernest Cater. Survivors include his father, Ronnie Wayne Jones of Casa; his step-mother, Kelli Jones of Casa; three sisters: Elizabeth Collins of Dermott, Sidney Andrews of Casa, and Brookelynn Cupples of Dermott; two brothers, Ben Burnett of Casa and Gage Cupples of Dermott; grandmothers: Phyllis Cater of Dermott, Debbie Parker and Rhonda Reece, both of Dardanelle and Billie Jean Jones of Lake Village; and grandfathers: Rodney Jones of Dermott, Jeff Reece of Dardanelle, and Billy Jones of Lake Village. Funeral Services for Beverly and Dustin will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jason Cater officiating. Beverly will be buried in Old Union Cemetery Tuesday and Dustin will be buried in Bryant's Cove Cemetery in Dardanelle later this week. Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday evening at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
