Burnis Elnora Hayles

Burnis Elnora Hayles, 92, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the Maples at Har-Bar Meadows. She was born on March 23, 1924 in Wetumka, Oklahoma, a daughter of William and Virgie (Smith) Denton. She was a loving mother and proud of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery B. Hayles; two brothers, Johnny Denton and Mack Denton; and two sisters, Wanda Bowling and Maxine Ritter. Burnis is survived by her children, Sandra Cothren and husband Van of Springdale, Arkansas, Brenda Jaro and husband Larry of Tontitown and William Hayles of Springdale, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Kim Moore and husband Mike, Nicole Shockley and husband Eddie, Joey Jaro and wife Christy and Steven Jaro and wife Loretta; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Eddie Denton of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 10 a.m. Pastor Dwain Houston will officiate the service. Burial to follow at the Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
