Betsy Kinder Campbell

Betsy Kinder Campbell, 91, of Marvell, Arkansas passed away Tuesday July 26, 2016 at her home. She was born on June 5, 1925 in Atkins, Arkansas to Fred and Louise Griffin Kinder. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert I. (Bobby) Campbell. She is survived by one sister, Carrie Lou Stelzner of Roswell, New Mexico: one son, Kin Campbell (Becca) of Russellville; three daughters, Annie Head (Chris) of Flower Mound, Texas, Nina Guest (Shelton) of Marvell, Beth Pickler (David) of Germantown, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Chad Campbell (Colleen), Heather Deering (Daniel), Lindsay Culp, Stuart Head (Allison), Lee Guest (Leigh Ann), Tonya Hodges, Chris Pickler (Amy), Katie Pickler; 14 great-grandchildren, Zayne and Alyssa Campbell, Kassidy Haggard, Adelyn Deering, Ashlyn and Addison Culp, Savannah, Molleigh, Hudson, and Scarlett Head, Macleigh Guest, Faith and Jake Hodges, Julianne Pickler; and numerous family members, church family, friends, former students and many who called her "Granny". Betsy was an involved member of the Marvell United Methodist Church, a long-time employee of the Marvell School District, volunteer teaching even after retirement, and an active participant in civic affairs in Marvell. She was honored to have been Marvell Citizen of the year in 1995 and Arkansas Volunteer of the year in 1996. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who left a legacy of memories and personalized treasures. That love extended to all she encountered as she ministered to others through visitations, poetry, and personal correspondences. Her life can be characterized by her unselfishness in giving and investing in people. The family wishes to thank Arkansas Department of Health Hospice and Home Health, Tonya Hodges, and individual caregivers who loved and blessed our mother. Betsy will be remembered at a Celebration of Her Life at 1 p.m. on Friday July 29, 2016, at the Marvell United Methodist Church.
