Cary Dean Clark, Sr.

Cary Dean Clark Sr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 16, 1935 in the Ico Community to the late John Newton and Ertle Mae Dorsey Clark. He was a member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church, American Legion and the VFW. He served in the United States Army for 25 years. He also was Grant County Sheriff and Grant County Judge for many years and was past chairman of the board for Southeast Arkansas Area on Aging. Mr. Clark died Friday, May 27, 2016 at UAMS in Little Rock at the age of 80. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Yvonne Justice Clark; brothers, Lindsey Clark, Roy Clark and a sister, Mildred Clark Dorr. Survivors: wife, Cheryl E. Hussey Clark of Sheridan; sons, Cary D. Clark, Jr., Douglas E. Clark, Sr. and wife Dee, Steven R. Clark, John C. Clark, Sr. and wife Pam, Duke Baldwin of Little Rock; daughter, Ashley Lynn Griffin of Ico; brother, Dr. Curtis B. Clark all of Sheridan; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchild and a host of extended family members and friends. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery (Ico Community) with military honors.
