Marvin Leroy Johnson, 49, of Redfield Arkansas departed his life on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock Arkansas. He was born December 23, 1966 in Crossett Arkansas where he attended Crossett high school. He was preceded in death by his father Gus Johnson Jr., mother, Tressie Cromwell, one sister, Katherine Hubbard and two brothers, Lavoris and Marcus Johnson. Marvin Johnson is a graduate from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff with a bachelor degree in Agricultural Economic. He was member of the Vesper Choir and Mu Alpha Nu Honorary Choral Fraternity. Marvin is a veteran of the United State Army Reserved and served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He received numerous medals, decoration and citations as combat engineering. He is a long life active member of the Longley Baptist Church where he served until his death. He left to cherish is memories is wife Donna Marie Johnson, one daughter, Aralyne Krystlin Johnson, one brother, Tony Johnson of Sherwood, Arkansas, and three sisters, Ruby Henderson, Lynn Smith and Shelia Cromwell-Nieve Manuel all of San Bernardino California. Celebration of Life: Visitation: Friday, June 3, 2016. Time: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral: Saturday, June 4th. Time: 11 a.m. Both services to be held at Longley Baptist Church, 9900 Geyer Springs Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas 72209. Burial Service: Monday, June 6, 2016. Time: 11 a.m. Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave., Sherwood, Arkansas 72120. Service entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S. Battery St., Little Rock, Ark. 72202.
