Jerry Dean Boutwell Sr.

Jerry Dean Boutwell Sr., 83, of Senatobia, Miss., died at his home on June 5, 2016. Mr. Boutwell was born in Tulsa, Okla. on January 25, 1933. He graduated from Cotton Plant High School and received a Bachelor's of Geology Degree from the University of Mississippi. He did his graduate work at The University of Arkansas. Mr. Boutwell was married to Marilu Whiteside Boutwell on December 28, 1955. He was a member of the Senatobia Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marilu Whiteside Boutwell of Senatobia, Miss., his brother, Dale Owen Boutwell of Cleveland, Miss., his two children, Dana Boutwell Ross (Stephen) of Senatobia, Miss., and Jerry Dean Boutwell Jr. (Carla) of Brandon, Miss., his 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. His family feels privileged to have been a part of his life. A service of remembrance will be held at Cotton Plant Memorial Cemetery at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Senatobia Presbyterian Church, 431 West Main St., Senatobia, Miss. 38668, or Cotton Plant Memorial Cemetery, 185 South Third St., Cotton Plant, Ark. 72036. Pate-Jones Funeral Home in Senatobia, Miss. had charge of the arrangements.
