Gerald Anthony Sedrick, 74, of Springdale, Ark., passed from this life June 8, 2016 in Fayetteville. He was born in Qulin, Mo., on Jan. 29, 1942 to John Sedrick and Phoebe Ledbetter Sedrick. He grew up in Tucson, Ariz. and graduated from Amphitheater High School in June, 1960. Shortly after graduation, he joined the Navy and served as a Hospital Corpsman for twenty and one-half years. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He then received his Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. He and his sweetheart, Jo Ann Brewster, were sealed together for Time and all Eternity in the London, England Temple on April 2, 1966 and have been blessed with eight wonderful children. They are the proud grandparents of 35 grandchildren. Faced with the choice of voting for Trump or Hillary, our beloved father instead chose to pass on to the other side. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Eugene Sedrick and Larry Sedrick and a sister, Aloha Sedrick. Left to cherish Gerald's memory are his wife, Jo Ann Sedrick; his children, Jodie Sedrick, Chad Sedrick, Shaun Sedrick, Jacob Sedrick, Jeremy Sedrick, Rebecca Sedrick Call, Michael Sedrick and Carrie Sedrick Ririe; a sister, Agatha Sedrick Lewis; a brother, Johnny Sedrick; and 35 grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Springdale.
