Dorthy Willa Bohannan Silmon

Dorthy Willa Bohannan Silmon, 88, of Springdale Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Saturday February 27, 2016. She was born on February 10, 1928 in Lowell, Arkansas to the late Loyd and Pearl Bohannan. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles F. Silmon, her sisters, Oma Lee Bates, Eula May James and her brother, Floyd Bohannan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lea and Bill Williams of Springdale, sisters, Geraldine Sutherlan, Betty Wheeler and Zeldene Harbour and sister-in-law, Betty Bohannan, two grandchildren Sharon (Skip) Croft of Memphis Tennessee, Michael (Rhonda) Ramey of Owasso Oklahoma, eight great-grandchildren Michele Croft, Jennifer (Kyle) Bennett, Tiffany McCall, Brooke (Brandon) Mayhugh, Michael Bradley Ramey, Hali Mayfield, Charity Mayfield and Chad Allen Ramey, Nine great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Dorothy dedicated her life to her husband and family. They will remember her for her love of her flower gardens, her gentle touch, her infectious smile and sense of humor. She expressed her love for others through her southern style of home cooking especially her pies. The family would like to express their gratitude to Willard Walker Hospice Home for their exceptional care of their loved one as well the extended family. Visitation will be held Tuesday March 1, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
