Ruth Grounds Walker

Ruth Grounds Walker, 89, of Ashdown, Ark. passed away February 28, 2016. Mrs. Walker was born November 30, 1926 in Hugo, Okla. to Dan and Eula Grounds. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ashdown, Ark. She is preceded in death by her husband, Burton K. Walker Jr.; parents; one brother, Dan Grounds; one sister, Carol Jean Stephens. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Burton K. and Janice Walker III of Coffeyville, Kan.; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Gary Greene of De Queen, AR; two sisters, Lois McGraw of Ashdown, Ark., Catherine Black of Fayetteville, Ark.; sister-in-law, Mary Grounds of Ashdown, Ark.; four grandchildren, Casey Wilkins, Dr. John Greene, Travis Walker, and Brian Walker; one great grandson, Teddy Greene. Visitation will be Tuesday March 1, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Madden Funeral Home in Ashdown, Ark. Funeral Services will be Wednesday March 2, 2016 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Ashdown, Ark. with Jim Cross officiating.
