Douglas Eugene Jenison, 63, of Springdale went to be with the Lord February 25, 2016. Douglas actively participated in more than 50 aerial missions and shot down six times over hostile territory in support of operations against communist aggression. "Because of his determination to accomplish his mission and his outstanding degree of professionalism and devotion to duty", he was awarded Air Medals, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Distinguished Flying Cross, The Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign Metal. He loved reading, music, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his birth parents. He is survived by stepmother, Jolene Hightower of Siloam Springs, brothers: Andrew Jenison of Siloam Springs and Romel Weathers of Springdale; one sister: ElLeisha Jenison of Springdale; two step-sisters: Donna and Debbie Davenport of Siloam Springs; one niece: Elysium Ramsey; and two nephews: Jason Crittenden and Andrew Jenison. Burial services will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery on March 16 at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Epting Funeral Home Fayetteville.
