Jean Carroll Bersi

Jean Carroll Bersi, 78, of Springdale passed away March 5, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She was born Feb. 24, 1938 in New Bern N.C., the second child of Theron Harris (T.H) Potter and Ella Mae Potter. Jean was married to Jim Joseph Bersi on Oct. 2, 2004 in a family ceremony held on his property in Springdale. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, brother Pete and stepson Brennan Karl Bersi. Jean is a member of the Northwest Medical Center Axillary and volunteered at the Washington County Voters Association. In the past, Jean enjoyed her membership at the First Christian Church of Springdale. Jean enjoyed her garden and adored planting her flowers throughout her yard. She was passionate about her family and being involved in all the grandchildren activities. She loved her family and traveled to Arizona, Colorado, and Texas to spend time with her children and grandchildren often. She was blessed to be loved and welcomed into the Bersi family, one of her favorite things was the spontaneous visits by the children and grandchildren. Jean is survived by a son, Brett Allen Bartholomew and wife Laurie of Boulder, Colo.; two daughters, Barbara B. McNutt and husband Chris of Allen, Texas and Diane L. Maynard and husband George of Chandler, Ariz.; five step-children, Georgia Brown of Effingham, Ill. and Phillip Brown of Effingham; Robert Bersi and wife Allison of Springdale, Brian Bersi and wife Kimberly of Springdale, and Brandy Fanning and husband Shawn of Springdale and 24 grandchildren. Celebration of Life Service will be held on March 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Westfield Chapel, 3236 West Huntsville Avenue, Springdale.
