Robert Elliott Vanzant

Robert Elliott Vanzant, age 48, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at the Shiloh Hospice facility in Springdale. Robert was born in Springdale, Ark. on May 27, 1967. He was the fifth of six children from a farm family and graduated from Shiloh Christian School in 1985. He was a life-long resident of Northwest Arkansas. Robert was a beloved hair stylist for many years in Fayetteville, Ark. where he later became a manager for Old Navy. His passions in life were cooking, gardening, playing the piano, and making people laugh. His grandparents Harvey Phillips and Mabel Moody Graham of Lowell, and Fred Lafayette and Frances Harp Vanzant of Springdale; and his beloved niece Erin Kahylene Propst of Little Rock precede Robert in death. He is survived by his parents Fred and Kahylene Vanzant of Lowell; and siblings Regena Shelby (Ron) of Rogers, Ark., Teresa Houston (Noyl) of Jonesboro, Ark., Katharine Arno (David) of Charlotte, N.C., Stephen Vanzant (Cheryl) of Lowell, Ark., and Angela Courtney (John) of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight nieces, four nephews; six great nephews and two great nieces; and close friend Rusty Eldridge. The family would like to thank Shiloh Health and rehab Facility in Springdale for the love and care they showed Robert and Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville. Funeral Services will be held March 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Pastor Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
