Joseph Daniel "Danny" Simpkins

Joseph Daniel "Danny" Simpkins, age 52, died after a short but courageous battle with lymphoma at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, on March 22, 2016. Born March 2, 1964, in Paducah, Kentucky to Doyle Simpkins of Redfield, Arkansas and Doris Simpkins of Burna, Kentucky. Survivors are his wife, Cecelia Simpkins; step daughter, Stacy Stone; his best four legged friends, Hunter and Sophie; his parents; step mother, Margie Simpkins; brother, David Simpkins; and sister, Karen Maxfield. Danny had worked for Arkansas Building Authority. He was a member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. The family wishes to thank Dr. Brad Baltz and his caring staff, especially Basil, at Carti that took special care of Danny after his diagnosis. There are no services scheduled at this time.
