Betty Jane Walker Gibbons

Betty Jane Walker Gibbons, 88, of Springdale passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at her home. She was born August 22, 1927 in England, Arkansas to Johnnie Nelson and Margaret Ann Hendrix Walker. Mrs. Gibbons graduated from high school at England, Arkansas and from McKay School of Business in El Dorado, Arkansas. She married Buford Fay Gibbons on February 19, 1949 and they moved to Springdale in 1970. She was a Real Estate Broker with her husband in Key Realty until 1976. She is a member of First Baptist Church (now Cross Church) in Springdale. She is a member of Chapter G, P.E.O. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and seven sisters. Survivors include her husband, Fay Gibbons of the home; one daughter, Denise Gibbons-Cobb and husband Bill of Springdale; one son, BF "Chip" Gibbons and wife Becca Gibbons of Rogers; three grandchildren, Maggie Colleen Cobb, James Gibbons and Amanda Gibbons. Funeral services will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Chaplain Steven Unger officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery in Springdale.
