Ernest Harding Salkeld Jr.

Ernest Harding Salkeld Jr., 72, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2016. While he was born and raised in Searcy, Ark., he was a long time Texas resident as a result of his career. Ernest worked many years in insurance claims and risk management. In his retirement, he worked part time with Macy's. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Reva Nell Salkeld. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Salkeld; daughter, Cassie Weaver; son-in-law, Michael and grandchildren, Noah and Grace Weaver. "Mern" was a loving husband, father and grandfather that will be missed by his family and friends. He always enjoyed hearing and telling a good joke! A memorial service will be held on Wed., May 4, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Flower Mound Family Funeral Home, Flower Mound, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
