Shirley Ann Crosswhite

Shirley Ann Statler Crosswhite of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 8, 1930 in Puxico, Missouri, the daughter of the late Roscoe C. and Lottie Bell Casey Statler. She was a member of Frist Landmark Baptist Church in Sheridan, and worked for many years as Secretary to the Texarkana Orphanage alongside her husband. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, and working puzzles. Mrs. Crosswhite died Monday, May 2, 2016 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 86. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Crosswhite, brothers, Vernon Statler, Eugene Statler and a sister, June Argiett. Survivors: sons, Donnie and wife Sarah Kay Crosswhite; Jimmy and wife Karen Crosswhite; Johnny Crosswhite all of Sheridan; daughter, Patty Ann and husband James Cogburn of Story; brother, Buddy Statler of Haskell; sisters, Sarah Ramsey of Benton, Rita Scoggins of Haskell, and Jewell Webb of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and church family. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Shawn Hill and Bro. Wendell Crosswhite officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to Texarkana Baptist Orphanage, P.O.
