R.M. Weaver

SALADO-R.M. Weaver, 85, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016. Born in Charlotte, Ark., Dec. 30, 1930 to Ransom Miles Weaver and Anne (Baker) Weaver. He was of Baptist Faith. His working career consisted of farming, timber, real estate, appraising and cattle. He was highly active in his county and state, serving on numerous boards throughout his life. He was a well-respected business man. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: AB and Ollie (Reeves) Weaver, Ben and Emma (Forts) Baker, and Ransom and Anne (Baker) Weaver. He is survived by one son, Ransom Roberts Weaver of Salado; one daughter, Rhona Joy Weaver Temple and husband, Bill of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Chelsea Varnell and husband, Jamie of Batesville; two great-granddaughters, Laiken Varnell and Landry Varnell of Batesville; two sisters, Ann Ella Agee and husband, N.W. Gates of Memphis, Tenn., Mary Louise Arms and husband, Orville of Charlotte, Ark.; several nieces & nephews. Friend and companion, Billie Barber of Oil Trough, Ark. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17 at 1 p.m. followed by funeral service at 2 p.m., both at Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Burial at Egner Cemetery at Salado.
