Olive Emma Watson, age 97, of Springdale, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2016. She was born April 10, 1919, in Winslow, Ind., the daughter of Ollie and Beulah Thomas Doughty. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Springdale. She had taught Sunday School, was a past President of WMC, and was a past Deaconus of The Assemblies of God Church. She was preceded by her husband of 58 years, Norton Watson, in 1992. She was also preceded by one son, Leroy Watson; one daughter, Dollie Myers; two sisters: Ellen Reddish and Nellie Hubble; and three brothers: Manford Doughty, Lewis Doughty, and Dewayne Doughty. Mrs. Watson is survived by two sons: Jim Watson, Sr. and his wife, Joyce, of Evansville, Ind., and Ken Watson, Sr. and his wife, Dana, of Springdale, Ark.; seven grandchildren: Kelly Leverich, Sophronia Summers, Emily Watson, Lonnie Leverich, James Watson, Jr., Ken Watson, Jr., and Josh Watson; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Bluff Cemetery, with Rev. Bob Fant officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Ark. 72762. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 1605 W. Robinson Avenue, Springdale 72764.
