James William McClain Jr.

James William McClain Jr, age 78, of Warren, Ark., died Monday May 23, in Vilonia, AR. Born December 23, 1937, in Cleveland County, AR, a son of the late James William McClain Sr./, and Ollie Mae Beaty McClain he was retired from Potlatch Corporation with 32 years of service as Bradley Yard Foreman. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #33, serving as master mason and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Marion Gail McClain, a brother, Aubert McClain, and sisters, Billie Maxine McClain, Doris Coker, a grandson, Coty McClain and great-grandson, Gabrielle Sullivan. Survivors are his wife Gala Vinson McClain whom he married November 30, 1956. 2 sons Tommy McClain and Robin, Little Rock, Ark., James E. "Jim" McClain and Cheryl, Maumelle, Ark., two daughters, Ramona McClain Smith, Vilonia, Ark., Stacy McClain Hargrove and Jeff, Cabot, Ark.; three sisters, Dorothy Smith, Sheridan, Ark., Martha Spakes, Memphis, Tenn., Jo Small, Pine Bluff, Ark.; six grandchildren Julianna Smith Yeatman, Hannah Smith Sullivan, Zachary McClain, Zoe Elizabeth McClain, Gavin Hargrove and Kyzer Hargrove; one1 great-grandson Harrison Yeatman. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday May 26, Frazer's Chapel. Burial in Union Cemetery at Rye, Ark., by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday May 25, at Frazer's.
