He fought a good fight; he kept the faith; he finished the course. William Carl Tucker, North Little Rock, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016. He was born August 18, 1936 in North Little Rock to the late Carl and Lura Tucker. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Henry Alyce Sims Tucker, four daughters: Sue Ellen Bolding, Carla Brack (Randall), Darla Tucker and Leslie Roller (Jim); nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild and his brother Reverend Don Tucker (Deborah). He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: David Tucker and John Tucker. Mr. Tucker was an employee of Arkansas Trailer Mfg. having worked his last day there April 18, 2016. The family wishes to thank the Campbell Family and his fellow employees for the many kindnesses shown to them. He served in The Arkansas National Guard, as a member of the Board of Directors of First Assembly of God, had been involved in the bus ministry, served as interim Youth Minister, a Sunday School Teacher, and missions trips to Central and South America. He was also a member of Civitan International. Mr. Tucker loved to work in his yard; was an avid reader and a world traveler. He had visited every state in the United States, most Canadian provinces, Central and South America and Europe. His trip of a lifetime was a family trip to Africa with his brother, Don. Our appreciation goes to Dr. Lawrence Mendelsohn, Dr. Kathy Parnell, nurses and staff of 10A Baptist Health, Little Rock and Hospice Home Care. Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 5 to 7 p.m., Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Funeral service is Friday, May 27, 2 p.m., First Assembly of God, 4501 Burrow Drive, North Little Rock, Ark. 72116. Burial will follow at Rest Hills, North Little Rock.
