Maxine Viola Jensen

Maxine Viola Jensen, 88, of Bella Vista, Arkansas died peacefully Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, Mo. She was born April 8, 1928 in Leigh, Neb. to Herbert and Viola (Kiesek) Jones. She is survived by two sons, Steve and his wife, Deb Jensen of Kearney, Nebraska and Bruce and his wife Carla Jensen of North Platte, Nebraska; as well as one daughter, Diane and her husband George Holmes of Bella Vista, Arkansas; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, two sisters and an infant great-grandson. She spent her early years in Kearney, Nebraska where she met the love of her life, Carl Jensen. They married on November 15, 1946 and spent 51 years together. They moved to Bella Vista in 1987. They enjoyed playing golf and adored the beautiful surroundings of Bella Vista. Maxine enjoyed playing cards and bingo, loved spending time with her family and always wore her favorite color purple. The family expresses their deepest gratitude for the compassion of the Golden Living Center in McDonald County, Missouri, where Maxine resided for the past two years. Memorial Service will be held at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 in Maxwell, Nebraska.
