Erma N. Jessen

Erma N. Jessen, 83, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 in Springdale. She was born August 2, 1933 in Otwell, Arkansas to Gernie J. West and Annabelle (Keller) West. She was a graduate of Weiner High School as well as Draughon Business College, a former bookkeeper for Greenfield Seed in Harrisburg, Arkansas and Kirk Gross Bank Planning Company in Waterloo, Iowa, and a member of Salem Lutheran Ministries in Springdale. Erma was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved unconditionally and was kind to everyone she met. She was a gift to anyone who knew her. Erma loved her family and served them well, caring for her mother when her health declined and her special needs brother. She loved Jesus her Savior, and had a strong faith. Heaven gained a saint when she left this earth. She is survived by her husband, Ovie H. Jessen, one daughter, Kim Barnes and husband Kevin of Springdale, Arkansas, one brother, Terry West and wife Fran of Hardy, Arkansas, and one granddaughter, Olivia Barnes of Springdale. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Friday, November 11th at Salem Lutheran Ministries in Springdale. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 2 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
