Rupert H. Glover

Rupert H. Glover, age 80, of Rison went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 7, 2016. Mr. Glover was born June 23, 1936 in Woodlawn, Arkansas to the late Otis and Rena O'Kelley Glover. From 1970 until 2000, Mr. Glover owned and operated Glover Bible Book Store in Pine Bluff. He served on Woodlawn Public School board. On July 25, 2009, he married Ruby Lunsford in Woodlawn. Mr. Glover was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eddie Ruth Glover; brother, Sonny Glover and his sister, Joyce Cash. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Glover of Rison; daughter, Kathy (John) Felts of East End; two sons, Mike (Tonya) Glover of Rowell, Tim (Amy) Glover of Dallas, Texas; step-daughter, Tena (Jimmy) Hauk of Carlisle; two step-sons, Michael (Shawna) Haynes of Dallas, Texas, Chad (Tonya) Haynes of Hot Springs; brother, Arnis Glover of Hot Springs; sister, Nannie Jo (Leonard) Small of Woodlawn; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 11, 2016 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Woodlawn with Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in Rowell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Buie Funeral Home in Rison.
