Bonnie Jean Rose

Bonnie Jean Rose, 88, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. She was born March 19, 1928 on a small farm outside of Cunningham, Kan. to Rolland Chester and Eloise (Legg) Dixon. On May 19, 1944, she married Roy James Rose in Anthony. He preceded her in death on October 5, 1997. Bonnie worked at the First National Bank in Cunningham for several years. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Pratt. She lived for being with her family, and especially her grandchildren. Her most recent hobby was doing word search puzzles. Bonnie is survived by her two daughters, Jill (Greg) Fankhauser of Byers, Colorado and Connie Swander of Pratt; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding. Inurnment will follow at Maude Cemetery, Cunningham, Kan. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association or American Heart Association in care of the mortuary.
