Oneta Faye Henson Payne, of Damascus, was born March 8, 1927 in Higden, Ark., to the late Rufe and Myrtle (Allen) Henson. She passed away Nov. 25, 2016 at home. She was married October 5, 1946 to Morris Payne of Damascus, Ark. They moved to California where she was a homemaker until 1961. They returned to Damascus to dairy farming until retirement. They were married for 70 years. She was a member of Rabbit Ridge Church of Christ for many years. She is survived by her husband, Morris Payne of Damascus; son, John (Rita K.) Payne of Damascus; daughter, Susan (Warren) Geary of Conway; she was blessed with five grandchildren, Jeff Payne, Wendi Payne and Lori Payne Davis (Shane) of Damascus, Stephanie Geary Jackson (Mark) and David Geary (Sarah) of Conway; she had six great-grandchildren, Drew Payne, Josh Payne, Leighton Davis, Marlee Jackson, Hudson and Preslee Geary; four siblings, Dale Henson, James Henson, Judy Wood and Pat Bass; a host of nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregivers Geraldine Valentine, Gaby Norton and Arkansas Hospice. Pallbearers will be Jeff Payne, David Geary, Josh Payne, Drew Payne, Shane Davis and Mark Jackson. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Mahan and Jimmie Megee. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, noon-1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Greenbrier with Randy Frazier officiating.
