Lewis Archie Smith

Lewis Archie Smith, age 68, of Wilmar, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born November 5, 1947 in Monticello, Ark. to the late Jett and Scottie Richardson Smith. He was the widower of Pamela Ann Jolley Smith and was a paint and body technician having worked for A1 Body Shop and Lucky's Chevrolet for many years. Lewis was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, a member of the NRA, enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved his work, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a brother, James Kenneth Smith. Survivors include one daughter, Connie Lynn Smith Wilkerson and husband Tommy, Jr. of the Valley Community; one brother J.W. Smith and wife Pat of Monticello; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Wilkerson, Celina Wilkerson, Jordan Wilkerson, Johnna Carpenter and Megan Wilkerson; three great-grandchildren, Cade Hatcher, Gavynn Boothe and Braven Wilkerson; and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 16th Section Cemetery by Rev. Larry Donaldson and Rev. Randy Cauley. Arrangements by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home.
