Robert Lloyd Shackelford

Robert Lloyd Shackelford, joined his Lord and Savior on October 11, 2016. Born in Blevins, Arkansas on August 22, 1930 was one of two sons to the late Lloyd & Marion Ward Shackelford. A faithful member of Second Baptist Church of Memphis since 1973; Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman and a scratch golfer. He was national leader in sales for General Electric/Trane Heating & Air. Because of his business success, he and Gerry were able to travel extensively including destinations such as Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, Miami, and Montreal to name a few. One thing he was truly proud of was being a long time, 30 plus years, volunteer for the FedEx/St. Jude Classic Golf Tournament. The family will receive guests on Friday, October 14 from 1 p.m. until funeral services begin at 3 p.m. in the afternoon all at Second Baptist Church, 4680 Walnut Grove Road, Memphis, Tennessee 38117. Burial will be Saturday, October 15 at two o'clock in the afternoon in Keo Cemetery, England, Arkansas 72406. Mr. Shackelford's legacy will live on through his wife and best friend of 54 years, Geraldine Bowls Shackelford; his sons, R. Craig (Dianna) Shackelford and Mark Alan (Gini) Shackelford; brother, Glen (Betty) Shackelford; and grandchildren, Zachary, Carolina & Ian Shackelford.
