Robert James Monroe

Robert James Monroe of Shannon Hills passed away Friday, October 21, 2016, in a Little Rock hospital. Bob was born February 3, 1961 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His parents, Berta Morgan and James Monroe preceded him in death. He was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock. Prior to becoming ill Bob had worked as a tree trimmer, maintenance at his church and as a roofer. A true grease-monkey at heart, Bob enjoyed working on hot rods in his spare time. Loved ones say that his ear to ear smile could light up a room. Survivors are his wife Terry Monroe of Arkansas, two daughters, Lisa Huffman of Indiana and Ashley Bailey of Little Rock, one son, Larry Monroe of Arkansas, two step-daughters, Michelle Hawkins and Sandra Collier of Indiana, five grandchildren, one brother, Michael Monroe of Shannon Hills, two half-brothers, Steve Delgadillo and Nick Morgan of Little Rock and several nieces and nephews. Bob's memorial service is Friday, October 28th, 6:30 p.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Augusta Memorial Park, Augusta, Arkansas.
