Helen Jane Ivy

Mrs. Helen Jane Ivy, age 92, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, October 28, 2016, in Dierks Health and Rehab Center in Dierks, Arkansas. She was born August 12, 1924, in Mississippi. She was a retired school teacher, curriculum coordinator, a caregiver and a member of the De Queen First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Ivy was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Gladys Keller Wherley and her husband, Edwin Victor Ivy. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Rhonda Ivy of Bloomburg, Texas; one daughter, Laura Ivy of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Sue Wherley of Dierks, Arkansas and two grandchildren, Chelsea and Colby Ivy. Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Ivy will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 30, 2016, at the Mt. Ida Cemetery pavilion with Sue Ellen Hall officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.
