Lexie Spears

Mrs. Lexie Spears of Scott passed away September 4 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Linda (Vernon) Moore where she has resided since her husband's death in 2006. Mrs. Spears is survived by her Children, Linda (Vernon) Moore of North Little Rock, Ervin (Tracy) Spears of Little Rock, Sam (Joyce) Spears of Loogootee, Ind., and Martha (Ronald) Dunigan of Lexa, Ark. Mrs. Spears had 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was a member of Steel Bridge Baptist Church and was the last of her siblings. Mrs. Spears raised her family on the W.P. Dortch, Jr. farm of Scott. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting and being surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke. A family and friends visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. www.boydfuneralhome.net.
