George Edward Suitt

George Edward Suitt, of White Hall Arkansas, passed away September 4, 2016. George was born March 30, 1933 in Lake Village, Arkansas to the late Tom Suitt and Lillie Lankford Suitt. He received his early education at Dermott High school and attended college at University of Arkansas at Monticello. He married his wife, Daisy Loretta Marcussen, August 28, 1956, in Greenville, Mississippi. He served in the United Stated Military for 26 years including the Korean and Vietnam War, and retired as a United States Army Recruiter in 1992. George was a member of the V.F.W and AARP. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Loretta Marcussen Suitt of White Hall, Ark., two sons, Samuel Suitt of Lawton, OK, and Stuart Suitt of Sheridan, Ark.; two daughters, Marcia Suitt Holland of White Hall, Ark., and Mamie Suitt Meier of Monticello, Ark.; two sisters, Delma Pace of Mansfield, Texas, and Lou Ann Suitt of Duncanville, Texas; a brother, Sam Suitt of Duncanville, Texas; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Marvel Suitt Cooper, four brothers, Charlie .P. Suitt, Jack Suitt, Huey Suitt, and Doyle Suitt, and a sister, Velma Thompson. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Ralph Robinson and Son, from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Services will be Friday, September 9, 2016, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel at Ralph Robinson and Son with Lafayette Woods Sr. officiating .Burial with Military Honors will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
