Alva Jane Jackson

Mrs. Alva Jane Jackson of Wynne, Arkansas, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her home. Alva Jane was born in Wynne, Arkansas on June 30, 1930 to Bert and Florence McElroy. In 1953, she married Dr. Richard Jackson and he preceded her in death in 2011. She was a bookkeeper, homemaker, wonderful cook, avid bridge player, loved roses and loved the "coffee group." Alva Jane was a active member of Wynne Baptist Church. Survivors are her daughter, Jane Jackson Stoner and husband Joey of Collierville, Tennessee, son, Steve Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee; grandsons, Jack, Will and Sam Stoner and great granddaughter, Maycie Stoner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Florence McElroy, husband Dr. Richard Jackson, and son, Mark Jackson. Visitation will be Friday, September 9, 2016 at Kernodle Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Graveside services will be Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Crosslawn Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at Wynne Baptist Church.
